Good Girls Give! 10/01/2011
The UCNH Jaycees are joining Good Girls Give in their first annual walkathon on Sunday, October 23rd. Good Girls Give is a non-profit organization that aims to give individuals with severe disabilities the chance to receive their 'Dream Day'. It was founded in 2009 by Laurie Green after she discovered a long lost friend was diagnosed with Locked-In Syndrome. This disease made it impossible for him to walk or talk for himself. With the help of generous donors, Good Girls Give was able to donate equipment and physical training that insurance would not cover. Good Girls Give was also able to arrange a 'dream day' for him and his kids. Since then, Good Girls Give has made it a mission to provide others with disabilities their very own 'dream day'.
