The Universal City-North Hollywood Jaycees will once again be organizing their annual Operation Santa project this holiday season. Since 1998, hundreds of local low-income children have received presents as a result of Operation Santa.

The UCNH Jaycees are joining Good Girls Give in their first annual walkathon on Sunday, October 23rd.

Good Girls Give is a non-profit organization that aims to give individuals with severe disabilities the chance to receive their 'Dream Day'. It was founded in 2009 by Laurie Green after she discovered a long lost friend was diagnosed with Locked-In Syndrome. This disease made it impossible for him to walk or talk for himself. With the help of generous donors, Good Girls Give was able to donate equipment and physical training that insurance would not cover. Good Girls Give was also able to arrange a 'dream day' for him and his kids. Since then, Good Girls Give has made it a mission to provide others with disabilities their very own 'dream day'.

Please join us in helping Good Girls Give continue to make dreams come true. 

Join us on May 15th at 8 1/2 Taverna for a night of fine wine, great food, and entertainment while raising funds for the American Cancer Society. Print out the following flyer and 10% of your bill will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

The UCNH Jaycees will be participating in the Studio City/North Hollywood Relay for Life. This year's relay will be held May 21-22, 2011 at Walter Reed Middle School.

At the Relay For Life event, our team will camp out overnight and take turns walking around the track to raise money and awareness to help the American Cancer Society create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.

By joining or donating to our team, you will be a part of a life-changing event that gives everyone in the community a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that takes too much.
